Justin R Martin, PhD
Justin is the Lead Development Scientist in the cGMP Process Development group at one of Croda’s leading lipid manufacturing facilities in Alabama, USA. In this role, he spearheads the development and scale-up of lipid production processes under GMP (compliant) conditions.
He earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2016 and began his career at Avanti Polar Lipids that same year, prior to its acquisition by Croda.
Justin played a pivotal role as lead chemist and subject matter expert in the production of ALC-0315 and ALC-0159, proprietary lipid components critical to the large-scale manufacture of the Pfizer-BioNTech Comirnaty® COVID-19 vaccine. His work bridges innovation and regulatory compliance to advance lipid technologies for pharmaceutical applications.
