One month countdown until CPHI Europe
Learn more about this key pharmaceutical event
In a month’s time, over 30 colleagues spanning sales, marketing, R&D and sustainability will be amongst the action at CPHI Europe 2026 in Milan – one of the most important events in the pharmaceutical calendar.
This year is set to be extra special as it will be the first major opportunity to showcase Croda Pharma’s refreshed branding and new brand promise: More than just your ingredients provider.
To understand the event’s significance and what it means to our Croda Pharma business, we caught up with Nikki McAra, Sales Director and Marco Ciancia, Account Manager.
Nikki, what does CPHI mean for Croda Pharma?
CPHI is much more than an exhibition. It is our largest annual opportunity to engage with customers, partners and industry stakeholders in one place and demonstrate who we are as a business. CPHI allows us to strengthen customer intimacy, support priority opportunities, showcase the breadth of our portfolio and expertise, gather market intelligence and help secure future business. It also provides an opportunity for our teams to collaborate across functions and present a consistent, customer-focused message.
Marco, why is CPHI important for our business, our customers and the relationships we’re building?
For me, CPHI is about strengthening existing partnerships while creating opportunities for future collaboration. Whether that's discussing new projects with STADA mainly within the generics area, supporting LEO's innovation ambitions within biologics in topical applications, exploring veterinary opportunities with Dechra, or identifying strategic growth areas with Haleon, these conversations help build trust and ensure Croda remains a valued long-term partner. The strongest business results often start with strong relationships, and CPHI gives us the ideal platform to develop both. Being present at CPHI demonstrates our commitment to supporting them on that journey.
What would success at CPHI look like for you Nikki, and the wider business?
Success is not simply about the number of meetings we hold. Success is leaving Milan with stronger customer relationships, clear follow-up actions, opportunities that have moved forward and a better understanding of how we can support our customers in the future. In a few days we can meet with a significant number of existing and prospective customers, advance projects, align on future plans and gain insights that would otherwise take months to gather.
Finally, Marco, are there any highlights from previous CPHI events, or current customer conversations, that demonstrate the value of being there?
One of the things I've consistently seen at previous CPHI events is how a single conversation can unlock opportunities that continue developing for months or even years afterwards. Many of the strongest customer relationships I have today, including with some of our strategic regional accounts, have been strengthened through conversations that started or progressed during CPHI. Bringing customers, technical experts and commercial teams together in one place creates a unique environment where decisions can move much faster and new ideas can emerge.
