Bycos are produced by enzymatically hydrolysing pharmaceutical grade gelatin under carefully controlled conditions. They are protective colloids, film formers, emulsion stabilisers and binders. Used as granulation and tabletting aids and in microencapsulation of heat sensitive actives e.g. oil soluble vitamins. Byco M is a marine source of collagen available in a range of molecular weights and viscosities.
