Crodamol GMCC is a mixture of monoglycerides and diglycerides of caprylic and capric acids. It functions as a skin-conditioning agent/emollient, and as a surfactant/emulsifying agent. It can be prepared by esterification of glycerin with specific fatty acids. It is lipophilic, insoluble in water and soluble in oils at elevated temperatures. It is used to produce stable emulsions and to modify viscosity.
