Eye health: review of omega 3 published trials - CP22

Omega 3 long chain poly- unsaturated fatty acids (LCPUFAs) have been linked to eye health in part because of the exceptionally high concentrations of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) found in the retina. Studies have shown that these levels are dependent on, and modifiable by, dietary intakes, and that decreased levels of DHA have led to visual impairments.
